About Me
Hello, I'm Paige Neirman!
I'm a Grand Rapids, MI based marketer, writer, photographer, and advertiser. I have two Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in creative writing and in advertising and public relations. I work full-time as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at International Society of Primerus Law Firms.
In my free time, I am a photographer for my personal a Paige out of Life Photography Instagram and Facebook accounts. I also have done a few photoshoots and small weddings. I have been the second shooter for a few weddings with my friend's photography company. I am self-taught in photography, photo editing and the basics of graphic design.
My passion for photography started when I was a kid and would borrow my parents point-and-shoot camera to take pictures. It was the kind where you could select a color and only that color would show up; everything would be a black and white image. I loved seeing what colors enhanced the image the most. It helped and influenced the way I shoot and edit now.
I started to write in high school. I would write little stories and a lot of poetry. I loved to use my imagination, and through writing, I gave myself permission to have my own unique view of the world. I chose GVSU because they have an actual creative writing program, and not just an English program, which I knew was what I wanted to study. I started with an emphasis in fiction and poetry, because that's what I used to write in high school, but, once I took my first non-fiction class in college, my old perspective of non-fiction as boring and dull greatly changed. I learned that non-fiction is really creative non-fiction because each of our memories are unique and we each bring our own view and history to the situation. I started to write more essays about my life and changed part of my emphasis from poetry to non-fiction, because I wanted to tell my story.
I enjoy traveling and have explored domestically and internationally as much as I have had the opportunity to. I love taking my camera with me to record memories of all my travels. From exploring the castle in Prague to touring the monuments in Washington, D.C.; from petting kangaroos in Australia to hiking in Zion National Park, UT; I love to see and experience different places.
I also love cats, Halloween, hiking, painting, and board and card games.
